Religion, Faith and Hate Crimes

ImageFrancesc Rovira (Centre Interreligiós de Barcelona), Paul M Cahill (Inspector-Chief London Metropolitan Police), Manuel Rodenas (Responsable Programa GLBT Comunidad Madrid) and Adir Steiner (Tel Aviv Yaho City Hall).

The Religion, Faith & Hate Crimes plenary was presented by Mr. Francesc Rovira, who is in charge of the Barcelona Interreligious center. Contributors were representatives from Madrid Government, Tel-Aviv City Hall and London Metropolitan Police. The goal of the session was to debate about religion and faith as a casual element of hate crimes in which the victims are target because of their sexual orientation.

On occasion of the session the film "Jihad for love" was arranged for a private screening for all delegates in the conference venue. It was the first time that the film was on Spanish screens.
